Program Contact
The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry (OU COD) offers a 29-month Advanced Standing for International Students (ASPID) program for international dental graduates who are U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents who are seeking to complete an accredited doctoral program in dentistry so as to be eligible for licensure to practice in the United States. Following an initial four-month review and intensive skills development course, students merge with the junior class to complete the final two years of the D.D.S. curriculum.

TOEFL Requirement Instructions
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores are required for all non-native, English-speaking applicants. Internet-based TOEFL (TOEFL iBT) scores are preferred. Minimum of 94 (iBT)/4.5 (New Scoring) is required. Suggested score of 100 (iBT)/6 (New Scoring) or above to be competitive. Provided TOEFL information to ADEA CAAPID® only, do not submit documentation to OU COD. Read more about the program’s TOEFL requirements online. The OU COD institutional code is 6902. TOEFL scores more than two years old are not accepted.
National Board Requirement Instructions
Must have a passing score on NBDE Part I or the Integrated NBDE, preferrably within the last five years. NBDE Part II is optional but will be considered if score is provided.
