The Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Dental Medicine (UNLV SDM) is a 24-month (six-semester) advanced standing program for dentists from non-Commission on Dental Accreditation dental schools who are interested in gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to be eligible to practice in the United States after successful regional licensing board completion.

Must be a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, a Canadian resident, or eligible for a U.S. student (F1) visa to apply to the program.

Letters of Evaluation Instructions
Three "Letters of Recommendation" are required. One should be from someone at the administrative level at the dental school from which the student graduated. One should be from a practicing dentist (or specialist) you worked with or shadowed (preferrably in the U.S.). One should be from someone who has known you for at least the last two years (not a family member, relative or friend). Sealed "Letters of Recommendation" should be composed on respective school or company letterhead with the evaluators’ contact details.
TOEFL Requirement Instructions
TOEFL is required with a valid minimum score of 98 (old version) or 5 (new version), and must be taken within two years of the application.
National Board Requirement Instructions
Successful completion of the NBDE Parts I and II or the Integrated National Board Dental Examinations (INBDE) within the past five years.
